Smart Photo Import is a small but flexible tool which helps

program does the rest. The import process is completely
automatic. The program is able to use exif date
informations to divide photos per each year, month or day
of the shot. You can specify a subject for each import
operation, as well as put your author signature in the
imported file names. The software can handle not only your
new digital shots from your camera, but also allows to
reorganize any picture in any folder of your Pc. Just drag
and drop the files and folders you wish to reorganize into
the program's main window and then choose the organization
criteria.

the primary of which is taking photos and videos from your camera
or other device (PC Drive, flash, memory cards etc..), and copying/
moving them to a chosen destination at the same time performing  an
automatic rename by subject, date or other criteria. It also
creates all the necessary folders, using the specified ordering

Another task is to reorganize your media files on your pc any time
you want. For this goal you can use different renaming and sorting
options and you can just drag-drop your files from windows explorer

When Explorer does not find a disk,
this does not mean that the data has
been lost. The data is OK most of the
time, but a disk boot sector is
damaged. Smart Partition Recovery
restores deleted logical disks. In an
automatic mode, Smart Partition
Recovery will easily make it possible
for you to restore access to the lost
sector. You can also use the "Make
boot image of the system" option to
make a copy of the disk boot sector
as a set of files, and later you can
use this copy in case of data loss.
The saved files can be stored on a
floppy disk, flash-drive or CD. In a
manual mode, you can re-record a disk
boot sector with our file. This may
be a pre-recorded copy or a copy of
the boot sector of a similar disk
with a comparable size and file
system recorded on your PC or another
computer.

Bend Is an Attractive, Inventive Text Editor

Windows: Bend is a new, free, fast, and elegant text editor with a focus on simplicity.

There are a handful of great text editors for Windows but none quite as elegant and attractive as Bend. But along with its Zune-like looks Bend brings a straightforward but highly useful feature set.

Bend supports syntax highlighting for a number of languages and is extensible so you can add more.

Search is very Safari-like, in that the text fades out to highlight just what you\'re looking for.

Bend provides some great display options, too, but keeps it simple so the focus is on the text. You can integrate Bend into the command line and Windows Explorer.

Features aside, Bend also concentrates heavily on speed, using XAML / WPF for hardware-accelerated text rendering. Bend is still in beta so expect a few bugs, but is available now as a free download.

The download mentioned in the Lifehacker link right here (http://lifehacker.com/5604526/bend-makes-for-better-more-attractive-text-editing-on-windows) no longer works, so I\'m uploading it here as an easy mirror.

Unfortunately, there\'s only one font.  Either that or I haven\'t found the option.  I give it a 7/10.  It\'s a great program, but it should have more features and have continued to be implemented.
